The name hides a big secret: "M" represents the gene of military heritage, hardcore technology "M TECH," and the M-Hero intelligent off-road architecture, with off-road technology pushed to the max! What does "8" stand for? Infinite possibilities! When military technology and Huawei intelligence combine, commuting in the city and having fun in the wild can switch seamlessly, making family outings and challenges through no-man's-land no problem at all! "17" is even more particular, and it also represents M-Hero's 17 years, from its military birth in 2003 to its transition to electrification in 2020, giving it brand heritage.

As the first achievement of the strategic cooperation between Dongfeng M-Hero Technology and Huawei, the M-Hero M817 is built based on Huawei's Hi model, yet surpasses the Hi model. It is not only the first to feature the "Tianyuan Architecture," but also among the first to be equipped with Qiankun Smart Driving HUAWEI ADS 4.

In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the Majestic Soul Aesthetics 2.0 design language. The front is equipped with a trapezoidal LED light strip and an illuminated M-Hero LOGO, coordinated with the "Zhi Ge Wei Wu 2.0" headlight clusters on both sides, showing a strong sense of technology. The lower part of the front is equipped with an off-road-style silver bumper, and the approach angle is very large, which can bring good passability.
From the side, the new car has high ground clearance, a roof rack, and a ladder on the side of the body for convenient access to items on the roof, while the other side is equipped with a flat storage box. The new car offers highway tires and AT all-terrain tires. All-terrain tires have larger tread patterns, which can greatly improve grip on unpaved roads, though tire noise and energy consumption will be somewhat greater.
