The moment the keys were handed to costume drama heartthrob Fang Yilun, the Dongfeng Nissan booth at the Changsha International Auto Show was drowned in cheers. This was not just a new car delivery ceremony, but a real-world footnote to a car creating a sales miracle just ten days after launch. On December 10, Dongfeng Nissan officially announced the data for its first plug-in hybrid model, the N6: in 10 days on the market, firm orders exceeded 11,763 units.

This figure made the N6 the most eye-catching "plug-in hybrid dark horse" in the year-end auto market. On the same day, at the Changsha International Auto Show, Dongfeng Nissan held a grand delivery ceremony for the first N6 owners.
In addition to owners from across the country, there was also a special guest at the scene—"costume drama heartthrob" Fang Yilun, who is not only the N6's "mobility ambassador" but also a real celebrity owner.

Market Breakthrough
Ten days is usually just a market warm-up period for an all-new model. Yet within this brief window, the Dongfeng Nissan N6 completed the accumulation of more than 11,000 firm orders.
This result can be called a phenomenal performance in the current fiercely competitive plug-in hybrid market. The N6 is positioned as a "large-battery, ultra-comfortable mid-to-high-end plug-in hybrid sedan," with a starting price of 91,900 yuan, directly pushing the price threshold for mainstream plug-in hybrid sedans to a new low.

From an analysis of the user profile, the N6 successfully achieved a "circle-expanding effect." Data shows that nearly 8 out of every 10 N6 owners are first-time contacts with Dongfeng Nissan new energy models.
Many of them are additional or replacement purchase users coming from other joint-venture brand fuel vehicles or mainstream plug-in hybrid models on the market. This phenomenon reveals a trend: competition in the plug-in hybrid market has entered the "customer-grabbing" stage, and the N6, with its precise positioning, has successfully tapped into the customer base that originally belonged to other brands.
Directly Targeting Needs
Data released by Dongfeng Nissan shows that firm-order users for the N6 come from more than 300 cities across the country, covering mainstream young family users in tier 1 to tier 5 cities. In terms of age distribution, young users under 45 account for more than 60%, among whom users aged 18-35 account for 31% and those aged 36-45 account for 29%. This data indicates that the N6 successfully hit the core needs of young families for car use.

"The first reason for choosing the N6 is 'it looks too good!'" More than 60% of users said this in the survey. At the same time, more than 30% of female owners chose the N6, confirming the universal rule in automotive consumption that "looks are justice."
The design of the N6 has indeed won industry recognition, sweeping three major international awards: the CMF Design Award, the FDA Gold Design Award, and the Muse Design Platinum Award, fully deserving the title of "most beautiful plug-in hybrid."
Hardcore Product Strength
Good looks are only a stepping stone; what truly makes users place orders is product strength. The N6 proposes the concept of an "ultra-comfortable cabin," with an 87% "room efficiency rate," claimed to be the widest and most comfortable space in its class.
The front row is equipped with AI zero-pressure cloud-carpet seats, while the rear row features a newly developed zero-pressure cloud-carpet large sofa, creating a "million-level comfort experience." More notably, over 84% of users directly locked in on the top-trim 180Max version, showing consumers' high emphasis on comfort features.

Economy is another core selling point of plug-in hybrid models. With fuel consumption of 2 liters per 100 kilometers under depleted battery conditions, 180 kilometers of pure electric range provided by a large battery of more than 20 kWh, and mid-stage recharging efficiency of within 20 minutes, the N6 has built an image of high efficiency and energy savings.
The manufacturer claims that the annual travel cost of this car can be controlled within 2,000 yuan, and for family users, this economic indicator is highly attractive.

Delivery in the Star City
Changsha was chosen as the venue for the first owner delivery ceremony, behind which there were deeper market considerations. Central China is one of the mainstream markets for plug-in hybrid models, and Changsha, as a core regional city, has a broad base of plug-in hybrid users.
At the same time, Changsha's status as an "internet-famous city" forms a clever echo with the N6's positioning as an "internet-famous car." Wang Qian, general manager of the new energy brand of Dongfeng Nissan Automobile Sales Co., Ltd., said: "We hope the N6 can, like Changsha, become a choice in users' hearts that combines 'good looks and strength.'"

At the delivery ceremony, Wang Qian and Tang Guohua, chairman of Hunan core dealer Lantian Group, jointly presented the new N6 car keys to Fang Yilun. As a celebrity owner, Fang Yilun's reason for buying the car is quite representative: "The N6 is a car that makes you 'fall in love at first sight and never tire of it over time.' From the first glance at it to every stretch of the journey after sitting inside, it gives you continuous peace of mind and comfort." This product trait of "starting with looks, staying loyal to comfort" is precisely the key to the N6's appeal to users.
Final thoughts:
The N6's achievement of surpassing 10,000 orders in 10 days on the market is not only the success of a single model, but also a key step in Dongfeng Nissan's new energy transformation.
As deliveries continue, these new cars will drive onto the streets and alleys of more than 300 cities in China. What they carry is not only mobility needs, but also the determination of a traditional automaker accelerating its run on the new energy track.
