On April 11, 2026, the China EV100 Forum officially opened at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. The new Avatr 12 became the focus of the event, receiving collective appreciation and high praise from government leaders, industry experts, and academic elites.
As the highest-spec and most influential industry event for domestic new energy vehicles, this year's China EV100 Forum is themed "Advancing the Intelligent, Green, Integrated, and International Development of New Energy Vehicles," aiming to provide a platform for intellectual exchange and strategic analysis for the automotive industry's transformation, and to explore the development direction of the automotive industry during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.
The new Avatr 12 unveiled on site is positioned as a future intelligent luxury sedan, targeting the elite of the era and focusing on a luxury, intelligent, flagship-level travel experience. As the first model under the 2.0 strategic cooperation between Huawei Qiankun and Avatr, the new Avatr 12 is equipped with Huawei Qiankun's globally mass-produced highest 896-line LiDAR and Taihang Intelligent Control 2.0 technology. It comes standard across all trims with Huawei Qiankun intelligent driving, a 35.4-inch 4K panoramic star ring screen, a 25-speaker British Meridian audio system, 9 airbags, and other top-tier configurations, redefining the standard for luxury sedans under 500,000 yuan.
Among these, the Taihang Intelligent Control 2.0 technology independently developed by Avatr showcases the latest breakthrough of China's high-end intelligent electric vehicles in the chassis domain. Taihang Intelligent Control 2.0 technology relies on two hardcore supports—the Taihang distributed electric drive and electromagnetic suspension—bringing comprehensive upgrades to the vehicle in dimensions such as performance, safety, handling, and comfort. It ensures that users do not slip, do not lose control, and are safer when facing daily wet and slippery roads such as waterlogged and icy surfaces, and even extreme scenarios such as high-speed tire blowouts and PIT maneuvers.
Following the launch of the new Avatr 12, the intelligent and elegant all-scenario sports sedan Avatr 06T will also officially launch on April 22.
