The new generation of the Tank 300 is here, and this change is not minor. On July 3, official images of the new Tank 300 were officially released, and the new car will begin presales on July 6.
In terms of exterior, the new Tank 300 has adopted a completely new front grille, with a honeycomb blacked-out design that is more sporty, and the brand badge has also been changed to the English letters "TANK." The front bumper design is more rugged, and the overall visual center of gravity is lower, giving it a stronger sense of power.
Size is the highlight of this upgrade. The long-wheelbase version measures 4886/1984/1927mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase reaching 3010mm. Compared with the current model (4750/1930/1903mm, wheelbase 2750mm), the body length has increased by 136mm, the width by 54mm, the height by 24mm, and the wheelbase has been extended by a full 260mm. The rear seat and trunk space are no longer cramped.
In terms of intelligent features, the new car is equipped with a roof-mounted lidar and will carry Great Wall's self-developed Coffee Pilot Ultra advanced driver assistance system, supporting functions such as highway NOA, urban NOA navigated assisted driving, and full-scenario automatic parking.
The powertrain options are rich, offering four solutions: 2.0T gasoline, 3.0T gasoline, Hi4-T, and Hi4-Z plug-in hybrids. The Hi4-T is equipped with a 37.1kWh battery and has a pure electric range of 105km; the Hi4-Z is equipped with a large-capacity 59.6kWh battery and has a pure electric range of 200km. The 3.0T V6 engine has a maximum power of 265kW.

In terms of the interior, it features a newly designed three-spoke steering wheel, and the button layout has been re-optimized. The new car also offers three all-new body colors: Shining Yellow, Passion Red, and Leisure Cyan.

Quick comment:
The wheelbase has been extended by 260mm, turning the rear seat from "adequate" to "spacious"; lidar is on board, and urban NOA is also included. The Hi4-Z version has a pure electric range of 200km, so daily commuting can basically be treated like driving an EV; the 3.0T V6 continues to be retained, not cutting off the path for existing users. This facelift has indeed addressed the current model's two shortcomings. It remains to be seen whether the presale price on July 6 can stay in the 200,000-yuan class.
