On October 10, Leapmotor released exterior teaser images of its new flagship SUV, the Leapmotor D19. The new vehicle will offer both extended-range and pure electric powertrain options, with a price range likely between 250,000 and 300,000 yuan.

In terms of exterior design, judging from the released teaser images, the new vehicle's continuous light bar has typical family-style characteristics, the front end still adopts a closed-off design, the roof is equipped with a LiDAR, and the rear continuous taillight adopts a dual-layer design and is accompanied by an English LOGO badge.

Judging from previously exposed street spy shots, the Leapmotor D19 adopts a more premium-feeling "pie-dish" wheel design, the rear styling is relatively boxy, the rear bumper is body-colored, the license plate frame area is recessed, and the roof spoiler and lower decorative trim are both painted in silver.

In terms of power, the Leapmotor D19 will offer both extended-range and pure electric powertrain options. The extended-range version is equipped with a 1.5T engine and offers both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The pure electric version is built on a full-domain 800V high-voltage platform, providing faster charging speed, and also offers both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.
Dada Review: The Leapmotor D19 is positioned as a full-size SUV, with a vehicle length of approximately 5.2 meters and a wheelbase expected to reach 3.1 meters, placing it in the same class as the Li Auto L9 and XPeng G9. The Leapmotor D19 targets the 250,000 to 300,000 yuan price range, a price point that offers a certain cost-performance advantage. The "pie-dish" wheels also add considerable appeal, and its powertrain technology is also at a relatively high level. It is expected that the new vehicle will adopt a 2+2+2 seating layout inside, and interior and configuration information awaits further official release.
