On March 19, Denza Auto released the official exterior images of the new Denza D9. The official images show that the new Denza D9 will be equipped with BYD's second-generation blade battery and flash charging technology, and is expected to go on sale in the second quarter of this year.

In terms of exterior, based on the filing images, the new Denza D9 as a whole continues the design language of the current model and still offers a two-tone body. The front grille style of the new Denza D9 has been adjusted, and the chrome decoration inside is more imposing than the old model. The body length, width, and height remain 5250/1960/1900mm, with a wheelbase of 3110mm.

In terms of power, the 1.5T engine in the new car's plug-in hybrid version has a maximum power of 115kW, and the maximum power of the front and rear electric motors is 200kW and 45kW respectively. BYD's second-generation blade battery is expected to provide plug-in hybrid models with 400km+ of pure electric range (under CLTC conditions), while the pure electric version has two range options: 750km and 800km.

Dada Review: BYD's second-generation blade battery has undergone six years of research and development, with breakthroughs achieved in the material system and core technology. Its energy density is 35% higher than the previous generation, the battery's internal resistance is lower, and fast-charging capability is stronger. It does not catch fire in nail penetration, thermal diffusion, or bottom impact tests. BYD's flash charging technology requires only 5 minutes to charge from 10% to 70% at room temperature, and only 9 minutes to charge from 10% to 97%, with replenishment efficiency approaching the refueling time of fuel vehicles. The core upgrades of the new Denza D9 are power and range. The pure electric range of the hybrid version is expected to reach 400km, and the replenishment efficiency of the pure electric version is greatly improved. The price is basically the same as the current model, focusing on adding equipment without raising the price. Higher-trim models may also add more luxury configurations. Specific information is subject to Denza's official release.
