The Subaru BRZ is a sports coupe for the masses. On December 14 last year, the Subaru BRZ STI Sport series added a limited edition model, the Subaru BRZ STI Sport type RS. Deliveries have now begun. The new car is priced at 319,800 yuan, limited to 100 units (manual transmission only, in New Rally Blue).
As a limited edition of the Subaru BRZ STI Sport series, the new car is equipped with an STI adaptive V-shaped strut tower bar, STI adaptive rear damping rod, STI rear lateral link set, STI 18-inch black aluminum alloy wheels, STI shift knob (MT), and STI oil filler cap. This brings drivers a further improvement in handling experience. Deliveries have now begun.
In terms of exterior, the Subaru BRZ STI Sport type RS basically continues the current model's styling, and with black wheels, the whole car looks compact and full of sporty atmosphere.
The highlights of the new car are mainly reflected in the configuration. It is equipped with the "STI adaptive V-shaped strut tower bar," which inserts end-link joint bearings into the V-bar. By effectively utilizing the flexibility of the chassis, it improves steering response. While ensuring the required rigidity of the chassis, it moderately eliminates external pressure generated by road potholes, thereby flexibly responding to vibration.
The "STI adaptive rear damping rod" can alleviate the force dissipation caused by the body structure by using the reaction force applied by the coil spring. During steering operations while driving straight, it can effectively solve the force transmission delay caused by force dissipation, rapidly enhance tire ground contact, suppress body sway, improve operating response, and make driving more stable.
The "STI rear lateral link set" improves cornering handling by enhancing the smoothness of rear suspension movement and suppressing uncomfortable lateral vibration, achieving agile and precise cornering.
In addition, the new car is also equipped with STI 18-inch black aluminum alloy wheels, STI shift knob (MT), STI oil filler cap, and other kits. It is worth noting that the six newly added STI sport kits on the Subaru BRZ STI Sport type RS have all been filed, and the car can be registered directly.
For the powertrain, referring to the Subaru BRZ STI Sport, it is equipped with a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated engine, with a maximum power of 172 kW (234 Ps)/7000 rpm and a maximum torque of 250 N·m/3700 rpm. The transmission is matched with a 6MT/6AT gearbox.
