The Geely Boyue is getting an update again!

A few days ago, Xiaoba learned from official channels that the 2027 Boyue will officially go on sale on October 23.

This time, the new car is not just a simple exterior refresh and that's it—it is preparing to undergo a round of upgrades from the electronic and electrical architecture and cabin features to the exterior design.

To be honest, everyone should be quite familiar with the name Boyue.

This series happens to mark its 10th anniversary of going on sale this year. As of the end of September, it has been sold in more than 60 countries and regions worldwide, with cumulative sales exceeding 2.45 million units.

Honestly speaking, being able to keep a vehicle series going for ten years and accumulate such large sales at least shows that it has indeed captured the needs of many family users.

However, if an older model series is to continue selling, past reputation alone is certainly not enough.

Car buyers today look not only at price, but also at whether the infotainment system is easy to use and whether the features are practical enough, so what exactly has been changed on the 2027 Boyue is still worth discussing.

Let's look at the exterior first. The new car this time uses the new Chinese-style "Four Waters Return to the Hall" grille, as well as the "flying eaves and bracket sets" continuous light cluster.

The name is a bit of a mouthful, but it indeed has a strong artistic feel. Applied to the car, the main goal is still to make the front face look more refined while increasing recognizability.

In my opinion, when domestic brands do design now, they are no longer just pursuing a look of grandeur, but also hoping to form their own style.

As for how this design looks on the actual car and whether the light cluster and grille match harmoniously, that still has to be judged after the real car debuts—just looking at the name does not count.

In terms of body dimensions, the new car measures 4570/1865/1635 mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2707 mm. Compared with the current model, the body length has increased by 21 mm, while the height has decreased by 15 mm.

There is one detail here: an increase in body length does not necessarily mean there will be an obvious change in interior space.

The wheelbase is still 2707 mm, unchanged from the current model, so it is still difficult to draw a direct conclusion about how much improvement this dimensional adjustment will bring to passenger space.

If the car is mainly used for urban commuting and occasionally taking the family out, then of course the more suitable the body dimensions, the better, but what truly affects the experience also includes seat design, interior layout, and storage space.

The dimension table can be noted down for now, but whether it is comfortable to sit in still requires real-car experience.

At the rear, the new car has switched to the "Long Scrolls of Flowing Rosy Clouds" continuous taillight, continuing to strengthen the design style of front-rear echo.

In addition, it also offers a 585L+75L dual-layer trunk.

This trunk design is indeed worth paying attention to.

For families who often take children out, go shopping on weekends, or need to load luggage during holidays, whether the trunk is easy to use is sometimes more practical than a few extra decorative lines on the exterior.

However, how the dual-layer storage is specifically divided and whether it is convenient to access items still requires actual experience to know.

Looking at the interior next, the 2027 Boyue adopts a wraparound cockpit design, is equipped with a 14.6-inch central control screen, carries the Flyme Auto 2.5 system, and supports the Xingrui AI large model.

Nowadays, the infotainment system has become a key focus for many consumers when looking at cars.

Whether the screen is large is one thing; whether the system responds quickly, whether navigation is easy to use, and whether voice interaction is handy are another.

The new car also offers the newly customized Amap 850 map. For people commuting to and from work every day, navigation is a high-frequency function. Details such as route planning and information display, and whether they are handy in actual use, are often more important than how many smart concepts are discussed in promotion.

Of course, the specific functions and user experience still need to be further confirmed after launch.

In terms of comfort features, the new car will offer front-seat heating, ventilation, and massage functions, along with steering wheel heating and 50W wireless fast charging.

Brothers and sisters, when these features are put together, the scenarios they cover are actually quite clear.

Seat ventilation and heating take care of riding needs in different seasons, steering wheel heating is more oriented toward the experience in cold weather, and wireless fast charging is a function that may be used as soon as one gets in the car in daily life.

However, having rich features is one thing, and whether the functions are actually easy to use is another.

For example, how effective the seat ventilation is and how many modes the massage function has—the official has not released more detailed information at present, so we will not draw conclusions on behalf of the manufacturer in advance.

In terms of safety and intelligent driving, the new car will also be equipped with an L2-level driving assistance system.

It should be noted that L2-level assisted driving does not mean the vehicle can drive fully autonomously; the driver still needs to continuously pay attention to road conditions and bear driving responsibility.

As for which specific assistance functions are included and what the operating conditions are for different functions, the official final announcement shall prevail.

Turning to power, the 2027 Boyue is equipped with a 1.5TD engine.

Referring to the current model's parameters, the maximum power is 181 horsepower, and the peak torque is 290 N·m, matched with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.

Here we also need to be careful: the above power data comes from reference to the current model's parameters and does not equal the final confirmed data for the new model.

The new car's specific power parameters and whether the tuning has changed still need to be further announced by the official.

Finally, let's talk about price. The current Boyue's price range is 85,900 to 106,900 yuan. After the new model goes on sale, what the final pricing will be still has no final answer at present.

Personally, I think what the 2027 Boyue really needs attention is not just how many features have been added, but whether these upgrades can match the price.

After all, for a family SUV at this price point, consumers both hope for rich features and will seriously compare space, power, fuel consumption, and daily use costs.

On October 23, the new car will go on sale.

As for whether it can continue to hold its ground in the market, the key still depends on the final price and how much practical value these upgrades deliver on the actual car.

Let's not rush to praise it, nor rush to talk it down. Wait until the price comes out, then let's see how Geely plans to play this round, shall we?
