Toyota Motor unveiled official images of the all-new generation C-HR pure electric version on May 15, marking the series' official entry into the electrification era. The new vehicle is built on the e-TNGA platform, priced at approximately $30,000 overseas (equivalent to 216,500 yuan), and is planned to launch first in the U.S. market, with future domestic production potentially introduced to compete in China's new energy vehicle market.

The exterior design language adopts Toyota's latest family-style design, with C-shaped daytime running lights and a closed grille forming a distinctive front-end identity, while the hood crease lines reinforce a sporty feel. Body length has increased to 4.5 meters with a wheelbase of 2.75 meters, and rear passenger space has been optimized by 15% compared to the current model. The SE/XSE versions are equipped with 18-inch and 20-inch wheels respectively, and the rear full-width light cluster and segmented spoiler continue the dynamic styling.

The new vehicle features an all-new interior design, standard with a 14-inch digital instrument cluster and a floating center control screen, equipped with Toyota Audio Multimedia system supporting CarPlay, Android Auto, and 4G Wi-Fi hotspot. In terms of safety, it is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 system, integrating L2-level functions such as full-speed range cruise control and lane keeping.

In terms of power, it adopts pure electric drive, with a dual-motor system delivering a combined output of 343 horsepower, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5 seconds, equipped with a 74.7 kWh battery pack achieving 467 km range (WLTP standard), and fast charging from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes.

The current gasoline-powered C-HR is sold in China through dual channels: GAC Toyota C-HR (starting at 152,800 yuan) and FAW Toyota IZOA (starting at 149,800 yuan). If the all-new pure electric version is domestically produced, it will need to face competition from self-owned brand products in the 210,000 yuan price range, and a price reduction is likely.
