Just now at the 2025 Chongqing Auto Show, BYD Ocean Network's highly anticipated new model—the Seal 06EV—officially announced its pricing and went on sale. The new car launched a total of 3 models with different configurations, with official guide prices ranging from 109,800 yuan to 129,800 yuan, positioned as a pure electric mid-size sedan.

This Seal 06EV can be seen as the Ocean Network's sister model to the Dynasty Network's Qin L EV. In terms of dimensions, the Seal 06EV measures 4720/1880/1495 mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase reaching 2820 mm, placing it squarely in the standard mid-size sedan category. Exterior-wise, it adopts the Ocean Network family's latest design language, with an overall styling approach close to that of the Seal 06GT. The front features a closed grille, paired with sharp LED headlight clusters and a three-section air intake design below, creating a strong sense of sportiness. For body colors, four options are available: Qinhai Green, Snowfield White, Warm Color Smoke Tea, and Atlantis Gray. On the side, newly designed door handles can be seen, with the side skirts featuring black trim pieces and silver accents. The rear adopts the classic styling of the Ocean series, with the dual-L taillight internal structure offering high recognizability.

Stepping inside, the Seal 06EV continues the family-style interior design. The center console features a full-width black trim panel, and an embedded 8.8-inch full digital instrument cluster comes as standard, with some models also offering a HUD head-up display. The most eye-catching feature is the available 15.6-inch adaptive rotating central control screen, with the entire lineup equipped with the DiLink 100 smart cockpit high-level system, supporting dynamic wallpaper/map dual desktops, full-scenario intelligent voice interaction, and 3D vehicle control functions. The steering wheel is a three-spoke D-shaped design with a column-mounted gear shifter, and the driver assistance function paddle is located behind the left side of the steering wheel. The lower center console area integrates a wireless phone charging panel, essential physical buttons, and cup holders. Notably, the top-tier model's central armrest box also comes equipped with an in-car refrigerator, supporting cooling down to minus 6 degrees and heating up to 50 degrees, and it can continue working for up to 12 hours after the vehicle is powered off—a highlight configuration among vehicles in this price range.

In terms of the powertrain, the Seal 06EV is built on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 Evo and adopts a rear-wheel-drive layout. It offers two motor power options: maximum power of 100 kW and 160 kW, both supplied by FinDreams. For the battery, it carries lithium iron phosphate battery packs with capacities of 46.08 kWh and 56.64 kWh respectively, corresponding to CLTC range figures of 470 km and 545 km. The 545 km range is already quite practical for daily commuting and short-to-medium distance travel.

Overall, as a pure electric mid-size sedan with a starting price in the 100,000 yuan range, the Seal 06EV demonstrates considerable competitiveness in styling and design, intelligent configurations (especially the standard high-level driver assistance across the entire lineup), spatial performance, and range capability. Configurations such as the in-car refrigerator offered on the top-tier model also add a touch of premium comfort experience. The launch of this vehicle further enriches BYD's product matrix in the pure electric mid-size sedan market. Whether it can win over consumers in the fierce market competition—we will continue to monitor its market performance going forward.
