On June 12, the 2025 Ora Good Cat officially opened for pre-sale. The new car is offered in two series: the standard version and the GT Mulan version. Among them, the standard version launches 3 configuration models, with a pre-sale price range of 89,800 yuan to 109,800 yuan; the GT Mulan version launches 2 configurations, with a pre-sale price range of 102,800 yuan to 112,800 yuan. Compared with the starting price of 105,800 yuan for the 2024 Good Cat, this pre-sale price lowers the threshold considerably.

The new car's changes are mainly in several areas. The exterior still has that cute look with round eyes, but the area of the air intake in the front bumper has been enlarged, extending all the way to the middle of the license plate frame, with a chrome trim added and vents opened on both sides. The "ORA" badge at the rear has been replaced with Great Wall's "GWM" badge, and the same applies to the GT version. The car's length, width, and height are all larger than the old model, but the wheelbase remains 2650mm.

The changes inside the car are relatively significant, with a two-tone interior. The most eye-catching is the replacement of a 14.6-inch large screen in the center, using Great Wall's latest Coffee OS 3.2 system. The instrument panel in front has also been upgraded to 10.25 inches. The steering wheel has also been changed to a new two-spoke flat-bottom design with fewer buttons, looking simpler. After switching to a column shifter design, the original center console area has been freed up to add a wireless phone charging pad and two cup holders.

In terms of power, both the regular version and the GT version now use the same 126 kW, 171 hp motor, paired with a 45.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a CLTC range of 430 kilometers. It should be noted here that the old Good Cat actually had a 501-kilometer range version using a 57.71 kWh battery; the new model has canceled this long-range option, and now the entire lineup is 430 kilometers.

The Ora Good Cat sold nearly 5,000 units in total in the first five months of this year. The current pre-sale price starting at 89,800 yuan puts it in direct competition with the BYD Dolphin (45,016 units sold in the first five months of this year). The two cars are very close in size, positioning, and range. In addition, models such as the Aion UT and Nammi 01 are also competitive players in this price segment.

If you have always had a favorable impression of the Good Cat's design, this facelift has indeed made visible upgrades in the smart cockpit and everyday usability, and the price threshold has come down, so its competitiveness has improved somewhat, making it something worth seriously considering. In addition, what is announced now is still the pre-sale price; after the new car is officially launched, there may still be room for a decrease. If you are not in a hurry to use a car, waiting for the final price and the real feedback from the first batch of users before making a decision would be more prudent.
