XPeng Motors recently released interior official images of the X9 extended-range version, meaning this new vehicle is one step closer to its official market launch. Official information shows that it is planned to be introduced to the market in the fourth quarter of this year. Judging from the official images released this time, the overall interior layout of the new vehicle continues the T-shaped design of the pure electric version, but there are multiple adjustments in the details. One obvious change is the addition of an interior color called "Cloud Rose Brown," with extensive use of soft materials throughout the cabin, complemented by Ayous solid wood trim as accents, thereby enhancing the layered sense of quality in the cabin. At the same time, the new vehicle has been fitted with a newly styled steering wheel that looks visually more compact, and the speaker grille design on the inside of the front doors has also been updated accordingly.

In terms of configuration, the XPeng X9 extended-range version continues to be equipped with a 17.3-inch central control screen, a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip. The official images focus on showcasing the lighting system composed of the "Dome Star Track" ambient lighting and AI aviation reading lights. For the second row, the new vehicle has upgraded to metal speaker grilles and added Ayous solid wood decorative strips. The two individual seats feature zero-gravity, massage, ventilation, and heating functions, and higher-trim models will also offer a 21.4-inch rear entertainment screen. It is worth noting that its third-row seats support backrest adjustment and can be folded and stowed in a 4/6 split, which brings more flexible use of the trunk space.

Turning to the exterior, the extended-range model largely inherits the distinctive mecha-style lines of the pure electric version. To meet the cooling requirements of the extended-range system, its front bumper has been designed with larger air intakes and adopts a two-stage opening with active grille shutters. The new vehicle also adds an additional body color called "Aurora Cyan." In terms of body dimensions, the new vehicle measures 5316/1988/1785 mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 3160 mm. Its body length has increased slightly compared with the pure electric version due to adjustments in the front and rear bumper styling. As an extended-range model, its most notable external feature is the addition of a fuel filler port on the left rear fender.

In terms of the core powertrain, the XPeng X9 extended-range version is equipped with the "Kunpeng Super Extended-Range" system, consisting of a 1.5T range extender provided by Dong'an Power (maximum power 110 kW) and a drive motor with a maximum power of 210 kW. The vehicle is built on an 800-volt high-voltage platform and supports 5C ultra-fast charging technology, and is equipped with a 63.3 kWh battery pack and a 60-liter fuel tank. Under CLTC conditions, its pure electric range exceeds 450 kilometers (separate filing data lists 452 kilometers), while the comprehensive range can reach 1602 kilometers, and the officially announced fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is 6.4 liters. In addition, despite the addition of a fuel system, this vehicle still retains the practical rear-wheel steering function.
