On December 4, the new Ford Mondeo was officially launched. This mid-cycle facelift introduced a total of six models, with a price range of 149,800 to 199,800 yuan. As a mid-term update, the new car has made some adjustments in exterior details, interior layout, and the infotainment system. Notably, the Qualcomm 8155 chip is standard across the entire lineup, and the system has been upgraded to the new-generation SYNC+ infotainment system.

In terms of exterior appearance, the overall silhouette of the new car has not changed significantly, with the main changes concentrated in the front fascia. The previously split headlights have now been integrated into a unified design, featuring a three-segment daytime running light strip inside and a "Ford LED" badge on the outer side. The pattern inside the grille has also been updated, and a segmented spoiler design has been added below the front bumper. In addition, two new body colors, "Sunset Red" and "Ocean Blue," have been introduced. The side profile retains the fastback styling with hidden door handles, and 17- to 19-inch wheels are offered depending on the trim level. At the rear, the taillight structure has been redesigned, incorporating Ford's classic three-pillar element, and the rear bumper has been changed to an all-black finish, giving it a cleaner overall look.

Stepping inside, the most eye-catching feature remains the 27-inch continuous display, paired with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Practicality has been improved, with a row of physical buttons and knobs added below the air vents for more direct operation. The center console area has been redesigned as a floating layout, with a wireless phone charging pad at the front and a rotary gear selector and open cup holders at the rear.

The upgrade to the infotainment system is a key focus of this facelift. In addition to the Qualcomm 8155 chip across the entire lineup, STR fast-boot technology has been introduced. The system interface has been redesigned, the voice assistant has been upgraded to VA 4.0 and connected to a large language model, and the in-car Amap navigation is featured for the first time, with CarPlay phone connectivity supported across the entire lineup. Additionally, a 540-degree surround-view camera system is now standard, along with support for over-the-air updates for the entire vehicle. In terms of driver assistance, the new car comes standard across the lineup with the L2-level Co-Pilot 360 system, covering 17 sub-functions and providing comprehensive active safety support.

Three powertrain options are available, including a 1.5T gasoline engine, a 2.0T gasoline engine, and a 1.5T hybrid version. The 2.0T engine belongs to the fifth-generation EcoBoost series, producing a maximum power of 261 horsepower and a peak torque of 408 N·m, matched to an 8AT transmission. The 1.5T gasoline version comes in two power calibrations, while the hybrid version combines a 1.5T engine with an electric motor, with an E-CVT transmission handling the drivetrain.

Body dimensions remain unchanged from before, measuring 4,935/1,875/1,500 mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,945 mm, positioning it as a mid-size sedan. A total of six body colors are available across the lineup, including the two newly added options. In terms of configuration distribution, from entry-level to top trim, features progressively increase in wheel size, seat materials, comfort functions, and driver assistance configurations, allowing consumers to choose according to their own needs.
