On October 1, Tesla officially launched the new Model 3, offering a total of 4 variants, with the price range remaining unchanged at 235,500 to 339,500 yuan. This facelift focuses on configuration upgrades and functional expansion, while the exterior styling and powertrain have not been adjusted.

In terms of exterior, the new Model 3 continues the current design, with body dimensions of 4720/1848/1442 mm and a wheelbase of 2875 mm, positioning it as a mid-size all-electric sedan. Six body colors are offered: Pearl White, Starry Gray, Flame Red, Quicksilver, Diamond Black, and Ocean Blue.
The focus of this change lies in the interior and functional aspects. The central control screen has been upgraded to a 16-inch floating display, and the company says the new screen has improvements in both resolution and refresh rate, with correspondingly better display effects for navigation, audio and video, and in-car gaming scenarios. The headliner material has been changed from light-colored fabric to black fabric, and a new light gray interior option has been added, offered in combination with that headliner.

The Model 3 and Model Y have both added AC external power supply functionality, with a maximum output of 2,200 watts, capable of simultaneously supporting devices such as about 600-watt portable rice cookers, about 1-kilowatt electric hot pots, and about 600-watt electric kettles, covering scenarios such as camping and outdoor work.

In terms of power and range, the new car continues the current powertrain layout, offering two forms: single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive. The rear-wheel drive version has a maximum power of 194 kW and a CLTC range of 634 km; the long-range rear-wheel drive version has a maximum power of 225 kW and a CLTC range of 830 km; the long-range all-wheel drive version has a maximum power of 370 kW and a CLTC range of 753 km; the Performance all-wheel drive version has a maximum power of 441 kW and a CLTC range of 670 km.
Xiao Tang's view:
This facelift did not change the exterior or powertrain, with changes concentrated on the central control screen, interior, and the newly added external power supply function, which had already been a common feature of Chinese-brand all-electric models. Together with limited-time benefits, the new Model 3 remains competitive in the 200,000 to 300,000 yuan all-electric sedan market, but cumulative sales in the first eight months fell year-on-year, and the subsequent trend still needs to be observed.
